The Framework Behind Everything We Do: Finding Your Way

At Founding Futures CIC, everything we offer is built on the same foundation. Whether someone comes to us through a programme, a community event, or a partnership with their school or organisation, the same thinking sits underneath it all.

That thinking is called Finding Your Way.

Why we needed a framework at all

There are a lot of people out there who are struggling, but not in a way that gets them much support.

They’re not in crisis.
They haven’t been given a diagnosis.
They’re just overwhelmed, disconnected, or quietly losing confidence in themselves and their ability to cope.

Traditional support often isn’t built for them.

It sits behind waiting lists, referral processes, or price tags that put it out of reach.

And a lot of it, however well-meaning, is built around fixing people or measuring their progress against someone else’s idea of what better looks like.

We wanted to do something different. Finding Your Way is our answer to the gap that exists between self-help on one end and clinical intervention on the other.

What the framework is built around

Finding Your Way centres on four qualities: Connection, Communication, Clarity, and Confidence.

These aren’t stages you move through in order. They’re woven through everything we do, and different things resonate with different people at different times. One person might find that they start trusting their own instincts again. Another might find that being around other people starts to feel less frightening. Someone else might just begin to understand what they actually value and need.

All of that counts. All of it matters.

You can read more about each of the four qualities and how they work together on our framework page [HERE].

What makes it different

The framework is deliberately non-clinical and non-pathologising.

It doesn’t ask people to perform change or arrive somewhere specific by a set date. It’s process-led, which means we trust that when people feel genuinely safe and met where they are, something starts to shift on its own.

Facilitators working within the framework aren’t there to have answers. They’re there to create a space for people to connect, to listen well, and keep the environment safe enough for people to reconnect with their own inner resources.

It underpins everything

Finding Your Way isn’t just one programme. It’s the lens through which Founding Futures CIC approaches all of its work. The values, the way we design spaces, the way facilitators are trained to show up, the way we think about outcomes, all of it comes back to this framework.

It’s how we try to create the conditions for connection, clarity, and confidence to return, in people’s own time and in their own way.
