Potential is everywhere.
Access to support isn’t.
Founding Futures CIC makes expert coaching, mentoring, practical strategy and
meaningful community more accessible.
We back people with ideas, skills and futures that deserve a real shot.
Support should not depend on money, confidence, connections
or reaching crisis point first.
We See Brilliance Everywhere
Founding Futures is a community-powered Community Interest Company, making life-changing expert support more accessible to young people and adults with something they want to build, grow, create or change.
We see brilliance everywhere: in the person carrying a new business idea, the young person beginning to believe certain futures are not for them, the adult rebuilding after life changed direction, and the parent holding responsibilities, ambition and a dream without enough support around them.
People don’t need fixing. They need to be seen, heard and backed, with the right support around them before exhaustion, fear, cost or closed doors persuade them to give up.
Too often, the support that could help is too expensive, too difficult to reach or hidden behind confidence, connections and complicated systems.
That’s why Founding Futures exists: to take expert coaching, mentoring, business strategy, practical guidance and meaningful community out of exclusive spaces and make them easier to reach.
Through SUSS Club, coaching and mentoring, business support, funded opportunities, wellbeing and nature-based programmes, as well as practical resources and community-led spaces, we help people find clarity, rebuild confidence, develop ideas and take realistic steps towards a future that feels more possible.
We are here to build better routes in.
Who We Are Here For
We support young people and adults with something they want to build, grow, create or change, particularly when cost, confidence, connections, complexity or closed doors have kept the right support out of reach.
You may be:
-
- feeling stuck, overwhelmed, isolated or unsure where to begin
- looking for practical guidance, meaningful community and a genuine route forward
- developing an idea or starting a business
- looking to build skills, create income or find a new direction
- rebuilding confidence, connection or stability
- navigating work, caring responsibilities or life change
- looking for non-clinical support with wellbeing, stress, movement or connection
You don’t need a polished plan, complete confidence or all the answers before you begin.
Ways We Create Change
Support is not one-size-fits-all. We create different routes into expert guidance, practical support, wellbeing, community and opportunity.
For People and Communities
Our work includes:
- business start-up and growth support
- SUSS Club: Start Up Success & Support
- accredited coaching and mentoring
- nature-based learning, movement, wellbeing and leadership programmes
- nervous-system-informed, non-clinical wellbeing support
- young people’s programmes
- practical resources and community-led spaces
- funded and subsidised opportunities
These programmes help people find clarity, rebuild confidence, develop ideas, feel more connected and take realistic next steps.
For Organisations and Partners
We design and deliver commissioned programmes for employers, schools, community organisations and other partners.
Our work can include accredited coaching and mentoring, workplace wellbeing and resilience programmes, leadership and confidence support, movement and nature-based programmes, young people’s work and funded community initiatives.
Commissioned work supports the people within those organisations while helping fund wider community access
Why This Work Matters
Too many people are carrying ideas, skills, dreams, responsibilities and futures they want to build, but the support that could help them move forward is often too expensive, too difficult to access or simply out of reach.
Expert coaching, mentoring, practical guidance, community and opportunity exist. Yet access is still too often decided by money, confidence, connections, complicated systems or simply not knowing where to begin.
People are left trying to work everything out alone, carrying too much for too long.
Potential is not always lost because someone lacks talent, drive or ability. Sometimes the right door never opened.
Founding Futures exists to change that.
We create earlier, more accessible routes into support and opportunity, before challenges escalate or people have to reach crisis point to receive help.
Our accessible, preventative approach is designed to restore connection and possibility, helping people feel supported, understand their options and take realistic steps forward.
When people are properly seen, supported and given a genuine opportunity, the impact reaches beyond one person.
By strengthening individuals, we strengthen families. By strengthening families and creating meaningful connection, we help build healthier, happier and more connected communities.
We are building futures where young people can shape their own path, aspiring entrepreneurs are not shut out by cost or complexity, people rebuilding their lives can move forward with confidence, and families do not have to carry everything alone.
Working With Organisations and Partners
Founding Futures works with employers, schools, funders, commissioners, community organisations and delivery partners that want to support people while creating wider social impact.
We design or co-create and deliver professional, accessible programmes that can include accredited coaching and mentoring, workplace wellbeing, leadership and confidence development, movement and nature-based programmes, young people’s work and funded community initiatives.
Depending on the programme, our work can support wellbeing, engagement, confidence, collaboration, leadership and retention, while helping organisations put their CSR, ESG and social value commitments into meaningful practice.
Your investment reaches beyond the immediate programme
When an organisation commissions Founding Futures, it is not only investing in the people taking part.
Income is reinvested into developing further support, resources and funded or subsidised opportunities for people who might otherwise be unable to access them.
That means working with Founding Futures creates value for your organisation while helping build wider access and opportunity across the communities we serve.
Referrers and Frontline Services
We welcome referrals and partnership conversations from health services, education providers, local authorities, VCSE organisations and frontline teams looking for accessible, preventative and non-clinical support for the people they serve.
Our programmes may be suitable for people who feel overwhelmed, isolated or unsure where to turn, including those who may not meet the thresholds for statutory or clinical services.
We provide inclusive, professionally delivered support grounded in real life. Each referral is considered against the purpose, eligibility and boundaries of the relevant programme, helping ensure that the support is appropriate for the individual’s needs.
Our work does not replace clinical, therapeutic or emergency support. Where our services are not suitable, or where specialist or safeguarding support is needed, we will signpost appropriately.
Volunteers and Community Contributors
Founding Futures is community-powered, and there are different ways to help build this work alongside us.
We welcome people who want to contribute time, practical skills, professional expertise, lived experience or support behind the scenes.
Opportunities will vary depending on our current programmes and community needs. Each role will have a clear purpose, expectations and boundaries, with appropriate support and safeguarding in place.
We value contribution that is respectful, reliable and rooted in the dignity of the people and communities we serve. Nobody is expected to share personal experiences or disclose more than they are comfortable with in order to take part.
What Makes Us Different
Founding Futures brings together professional expertise, lived experience, practical strategy, accessible delivery and meaningful community.
Too many forms of support are designed for people who already have time, money, confidence and the right connections. We design access in from the beginning, reducing unnecessary financial, practical, emotional, cognitive and systemic barriers.
Our work is human, evidence-informed and grounded in real life. We support the whole person, not only their output, and create different ways for people to participate without lowering standards or applying pressure.
Accessible support should never mean second-rate support.
How We Work: The Founding Futures A.C.C.E.S.S. Model™
Different programmes. One connected approach.
Everything we create is shaped by six connected pillars:
Access. Community. Confidence. Expert Support. Strategy. Self-belief.
These are not fixed steps or separate boxes. They work together to create the conditions people need to access support, find direction, build confidence and move towards opportunity.
The model shapes our business support, SUSS Club, wellbeing and nature-based programmes, young people’s work, community spaces and organisational partnerships.
Together, they open the door to opportunity.
Why Being a CIC Matters
Our paid work does not sit separately from our social impact. It funds it.
Founding Futures is a Community Interest Company, which means we exist for community benefit, not private profit.
Every pound earned through SUSS Club, coaching, mentoring, business support and commissioned programmes is reinvested into Founding Futures and the communities we serve.
That income helps us sustain existing work, develop new programmes and resources, and create more funded and subsidised opportunities for people who might otherwise be unable to access the support they need.
Our assets are protected by an asset lock, meaning they must continue to be used for community benefit, and there are no shareholders taking profits from the organisation.
When someone joins SUSS Club, books support or commissions a programme, they are not only investing in themselves or their organisation. They are also helping us create access and opportunity for somebody else.
The Futures We’re Building
We are helping to create futures where support, equity and possibility are within reach.
We are not here to make broken systems feel more comfortable. We are here to challenge what keeps people out and build better routes into support and opportunity.
We are building futures where:
- young people have the confidence, skills and support to shape their own path
- people rebuilding their lives are not left to carry everything alone
- aspiring entrepreneurs are not shut out because they lack money, confidence or the right connections
- adults navigating change can access expert support before everything reaches crisis point
- families are strengthened because individuals feel supported, connected and able to move forward
- communities are more connected, resilient and rooted in belonging
When people are properly seen, supported and given a genuine opportunity, we do more than influence individual lives.
We help change what becomes possible for families, communities and future generations.
Behind Founding Futures
Hi, I’m Karen, founder of Founding Futures CIC.
Founding Futures brings together my lived experience, decades of leadership and business experience, professional coaching practice, and a deep belief that people deserve support that is accessible, dignified and grounded in real life.
I know what it feels like to be told “you can’t”, to carry responsibility whilst trying to build a future, and to learn how to work with a neurodivergent brain and nervous system rather than constantly pushing against them.
Those experiences shape how I lead, but lived experience is only part of what I bring.
I am a dual-accredited Master Coach and strategist, combining coaching, practical strategy, neuroscience-informed practice, embodied awareness and nature-led connection. My approach supports the whole person, not only their idea, business or next move.
Founding Futures is how I bring all of that together: with care, courage, professional responsibility and an unwavering commitment to community, impact and change.
Ready to step in?
Whether you are looking for support, want to refer someone, or represent an organisation that wants to fund, commission or partner with us, there is a route into Founding Futures.
Potential, skill, knowledge and dreams are everywhere.
Access to support should be too.
